The area called Cala Mosca has few beaches, still has the fine white sand that use to be in all Poetto (Cagliari’s beach). Cala Mosca was never busy in the past, mostly due to the Military Bases that were just there, so the area was partly off limit. To go to Carloforte a ferry is needed and you can catch one from Portovesme or from Calasetta. These are directions to Portovesme, it should take more or less one hour and a half. The ferry takes another 45 mins.

Driving to Tharros is quite an easy task.

Either if you’re coming from north or south in the main road SS 131 you have to leave it at Oristano.
